Calcium hydroxide root canal disinfectant Used for filling anterior pulp capping; pulp protection; preservation of vital pulp after pulpotomy; antibacterial and disinfection after temporary root canal sealing.
Calcium hydroxide, also called slaked lime, Ca(OH)2, is obtained by the action of water on calcium oxide. When mixed with water, a small proportion of it dissolves, forming a solution known as limewater, the rest remaining as a suspension called milk of lime.
Components:
The main ingredient of powder is Calcium hydroxide; the main ingredients of fluid are propylene glycol and water.
Usage:
For external use. This product should be used by professional dentist. Mix the powder and fluid into paste before use; put into the place of pulp exposure or the bottom of cavity.
Recommended as a base or sub-base in the tooth in which there is danger of pulp exposure due to seep caries.
It accelerates the formation of secondary dentin.
